The DrySolator (Patent 5,890,899) is a fully disposable sterile single use dental medical device.  Its design simplifies a wide variety of dental procedures, introduces cost and time savings, and increases comfort and ease for the patient.

It accomplishes this by holding the patients tongue in place and mouth open, while isolating the surgical area and keeping it drier. See Overview. The Patent Embodiments page contains extensive illustrations to help understand how the DrySolator looks and functions.

Inexpensive to manufacture and market, it addresses fundamental needs in a simple manner, similar to the paper-clip for the office, or the safety-pin for the household.

Its low manufacturing cost (several cents per unit), excellent need for use rate (30%+/- of dental procedures), and single-use
disposable attributes represent a product with a potential domestic yearly gross sales of $140 million (140 million units sold @ $1.00). Stand-alone manufacturing and marketing operations are estimated to be 3% - 10% of gross sales, and significantly less if introduced into an existing medical manufacturing and marketing operation.
